Joe Biden ‘evacuated’ from COP26 event as US President taken away by secret service
Joe Biden was believed to have been evacuated from a COP26 event due to a large crowd gathering outside the venue.
The US President was due to speak at an event on methane gases however it was delayed after Biden was “hustled off by secret service”.
The Democrat returned to the stage to deliver his speech to the summit which is taking place at the SEC in Glasgow.
Delegate Parisa Hashempour tweeted: “So disorganised at COP26! Waiting to get into methane pledge session hosted by US but it’s absolute bedlam.
“Biden was hustled off by secret services, unsure if he’s coming back in…”
While a journalist tweeted: “Chaos at @POTUS seems to have been evacuated after entering Methane Pledge. DiCaprio and what appears to be with Bezos are inside room. Bull horn out telling crowds to disperse after crowds pushed through. Chaos.”
